New media manager appointed
Zoe Dunford, newly appointed media manager at the Institute of Food Research (IFR) in Norwich, has worked with scientists world-wide. Making wildlife films with Survival Anglia, she delivered a message of conservation as well as a fascination for the natural world.
The new post of media manager at IFR was established to deliver its own message. IFR's science provides a fundamental understanding of food and how it interacts with the human body. It includes research to prevent diet-related disease such as heart disease and cancer. It is Zoe's role alongside press officer Jo Belsten to communicate these issues to the media, industry, government and consumers.
"Food science is an area of huge public interest. It is important to communicate IFR's scientific discoveries to the widest possible audience", said Zoe.
