Database

  • VariBase [Zip, last updated 07/03/2005]
  • Help [Excel, last updated 12/02/2004]

Tools

  • VariFit [Zip, last updated 18/06/2004] New version with added features: mCode=4 will plot an Exponential distribution (only valid if the standard deviation is close enough to the mean) but the exponential distribution is not included in the statistical tests, can calculate and plot with data already in bins (label= centre of the bin). If you experience any problem, please collect them and send a report to Aline. Note that the data should be extracted from VariBase before using VariFit, VarFit will NOT work in the VariBase file.
  • VariFit Help [Excel]
  • Summary of the statistical tests [Powerpoint] Note that if the distributions are far from Normal, non-parametric tests can be used.
  • Simulations of population growth curve and single cell lag time distribution [Excel, last updated 12/02/2004]: Choose the criteria of your simulation and analyse the results with DmFit and VariFit!
  • RACS spreadsheet [Excel, last updated 07/03/2005]: The influence of single cells lag time in ham after a heat treatment. The help and explaination can be found in the appendices of year 3 or in the deliverables.
