Campylobacter research at IFR

Infection with Campylobacter is one of the major causes of food-borne bacterial gastroenteritis in the UK. Reduction of the numbers of campylobacter on meat is predicted to reduce the number of infections significantly, but the development of effective prevention and intervention strategies is severely hampered by our lack in understanding of Campylobacter biology.
