- What is IFR?
IFR is a not-for-profit company with charitable status. It is an Institute of the Biotechnology & Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).
IFR is a unique Institute in Europe, as its mission covers the full food agenda. Whilst other UK institutions provide excellence in some components of our research, none has the full range of IFR's activity, either in its breadth of research or in the variety of basic to applied outputs.
Our research outcomes feed into national and international strategies, delivering advice and solutions for UK Government, public sector bodies, regulatory authorities, industry and consumers. - Who do I contact if I have a query?
