between allergenic potential and biological activity

Search Tips

Search Fields -

The Protall database can be searched by the following:

  • General search: Searches all fields within each database record for any occurrence of the word or phrase entered . All words entered within this field must be present as the search performs an AND search. See 'Using multiple search terms'

  • Specific Food: Restricts the search to records relating to the food entered . All words entered within this field must be present as the search performs an AND search. See 'Using multiple search terms'

Sorting -

Records are returned alphabetically by Trivial name as default with the option of sorting by botanical name or no sort (fastest option).

Using multiple search terms -

  • Multiple search terms may be submitted with each term separated by a blank space. The database will retrieve records which contain all provided search terms. This method of searching is referred to as AND type searching.
NOTE: OR and NOT type searches are not supported at present.

Word Stemming -

  • It is not necessary to submit whole words. Partial word search terms are acceptable as long as the search term matches the beginning of words in the desired found set. For example, the search term "Pea" would returns "Pea" and  "Peanut".

Case Sensitivity -

  • Case does not matter.
