Norwich Research Park Poster Prizes
The Norwich Research Park awarded a £100 prize for the best poster presented at the Conference and £50 for the runner-up.
Winner: Zied Khiari et al, Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland. Comparison between gelatines extracted from Mackerel and Blue Whiting heads using different organic acids.
Runner-up: L. Bertin et al, University of Bologna / Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. Olive oil mill effluents as a renewable resource for production of biodegradable polymers through an anaerobic-aerobic process.

Achor Ltd sponsored one student registration at Total Food 2009 for the student who submitted the best abstract for either oral or poster presentation in the area of “Energy Recovery and Biofuels.”
The winner of this prize was Robert Grabarczyk of Warsaw University of Technology, Poland for his poster abstract entitled "Agro-food byproducts and waste as raw materials for two-stage hydrogen fermentation process".
